Great Lakes Equestrian Festival Week Two Results Wrap-Up - July 10-14, 2019

Week two of the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF) marked True North's first week in Traverse City, MI, and it was a great one! Here are just a few of the week's highlights:

Caitlyn Shiels rode Subject to Change, owned by Corporate Way LLC, to a second place finish in the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby on Sunday, July 14.

From a field of 42 entries, Shiels and the 10-year-old warmblood gelding earned impressive scores of 90 and 94 to finish just 2.5 points behind winners, Jacob Pope and Last Word.

Making an exciting derby debut, five-year-old CW Fringe Benefits, owned by Corporate Way LLC, also finished 11th in the class with Shiels in the irons!

CW Fringe Benefits, better known as "Porter," also finished fourth out of 16 entries in the Green Hunter 3', while Subject to Change claimed a top five finish out of 21 entries in the Open Hunter 3'3".

In the jumper ring, Shiels rode Incorporated, also owned by Corporate Way LLC, to a quick and clear fourth place finish out of 19 entries in the 1.35m Speed and a double clear sixth-place finish out of 35 entries in the 1.30m Jumpers.
